Discover pole Dance with us

“What is pole dancing? What are the benefits of pole dancing? Is pole dancing right for me?”

At Studio Albatross, we believe that pole dancing is a form of self-expression through movement that combines strength and grace. Pole dancing also empowers our students to feel confident in their bodies. For many of us, pole dancing has grown to be a significant part of our lifestyle.

If you are worried about not having the strength or flexibility to start pole dancing, don’t you worry! We will take you under our wingspan no matter what fitness level you are at. We have classes suitable for complete beginners and a robust syllabus for you to progress safely.

We in Studio Albatross strongly believe that pole is for everybody and every BODY. We are excited to share our passion for pole dancing with you and hope to be part of your pole journeys!

What To Expect In A Taster Class

We offer both pole dancing Taster Classes to kickstart your dance journey. We know that trying something new can seem a bit daunting but we’ve got your back! Here’s what you can expect in our pole and chair Taster Class:

  • It is going to be 1 hour of fun! You will get to learn introductory tricks and a short dance sequence all within an hour.

  • We are a judgement-free space. Our instructors will guide you through movements that may feel unfamiliar to you and you may feel silly but don’t worry, we’ve been there. Leave your worries at the door and enjoy moving in your body and being amazed at what it can do!

  • Our Taster Class caters to complete beginners. You might be worried that you do not have any fitness or dance background. Well, good news! The Taster Class is tailored for complete beginners so all we ask is that you come with an open mind and enjoy the process of learning something new.

Class Preparation

Already signed up or about to sign up for a Taster Class? Woohoo! We can’t wait to dance with you soon! Here are some useful tips to prepare for your Taster Class with us:

  • Wear something comfy! We highly recommend that your attire exposes your hands as well as the lower half of your legs (knees to feet) to ensure you can grip the pole.

  • Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

  • Bring a small towel in case you work up a sweat.

  • Try not to apply any moisturiser or lotion on the day of your class so it will be easier to stick to the pole.

  • Most importantly, get ready to have fun!
